The Mayor of Iscar, Alejandro García Sanz and the Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Education and Social Welfare, Carmen Martín, together with the technical from Caritas in Iscar, Lucia Castillo and two volunteers, Antonia Martin and Aurora Muñoz, receive at the City Hall of Iscar to the managers of AVÍCOLA HIDALGO Group SL, Pelayo Hidalgo and Jose Ignacio Hidalgo, in gratitude for the close cooperation of that entity since 25 years ago.
Avícola Hidalgo makes free supply of fresh chickens to Caritas Iscar to contribute with over one hundred needy families in the lunchs and dinners this Christmas. The Delivery will be made the next day December 23.
The poultry company under the name of the Hidalgo family, established in Iscar more than 25 years ago, taking over from the previously installed, the Muñoz family, with the first slaughterhouse almost 50 years ago, being at that time the first slaughterhouse in Spain with more than 50,000 chickens slaughtered daily.
Currently Avícola Hidalgo, have a balance of 35,000 to 40,000 chickens per day which are mainly distributed to the central markets of Madrid, north of Spain and the Balearic Islands.
The chickens that reach to Iscar, along with new product lines such as turkey, quail and rabbit come from the own Hidalgo group farms installed in the region, being the most remote one in Aranda de Duero.
The company Iscar generates employment for over 110 people and nowadys is in growth process, since from early January will begin expanding the company with the construction of a new warehouse of over 1,300 m2.
